The Dosha that leads to hair loss is - Pitta dosha. A well balanced pitta results in healthy body and mind. Basically, Pitta controls our overall health. Let’s first understand the factors that cause the pitta dosha. Once we know the reasons, we can correct the Dosha.

Usually, bad food habits, angst and excessive stress leads to pitta dosha, which makes hair to fall. Consuming too much of tea, alcohol, beverages with caffeine in them and smoking cigarettes imbalances our pitta.

Ayurveda says our hair gets nourished by the nutrient plasma, which is derived from the food we eat. However, some foods affect the pitta negatively and we end up losing hair.
